Calling I-House Home: New Resident Orientation Retreats - Held at Marin County's Walker Creek Ranch, these two-day retreats are designed to welcome residents into I-House's unique global community through cultural exchange, group activities and intercultural skill-building. Previous residents have voted the New Resident Orientation Retreat the most effective and fun way to meet fellow residents and make new friends, all while enjoying the great outdoors! Registration fee of $45 includes all transportation, overnight lodging and meals. Still not convinced? Check out this brief resident video and photos from past retreats!

You will recieve a pre-retreat packing and prep email the week of the retreat, so please check your inbox. The orientation retreats are open to new residents and a limited number of returning residents.

This fall there are 3 opportunities to participate in the retreat: Aug 25-26, Sept 7-8, Sept 8-9. Please choose ONE that works best for you.

*If the retreat is full visit the Program Office (by Thursday, August 23 for retreat 1 or Thursday, September 6 for retreats 2 or 3) if you would like to be placed on a waitlist!

Day One - Getting to the Retreat

11:30 am Check in at I-House front steps to verify your reservation and board bus with all of your belongings.

12:00 pm Bus leaves I-House for Walker Creek Ranch, a 70 minute bus drive. Timing depends on traffic conditions.

1:30 pm: Arrive at Walker Creek.

Day Two - Getting Back to I-House

2:30 pm: Pack up bus and leave retreat site for tour of Point Reyes and Limantour

6:30 pm: Arrive at I-House for dinner.
